RIGA, June 27 (Xinhua) -- The Embassy of Latvia to Israel will resume consular services as of June 30, the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Friday.
The Latvian embassy had suspended consular services and cancelled all appointments as Israel declared a state of emergency amid its military conflict with Iran.
As the conflict evolved, scheduled appointments for consular services at the Latvian Embassy in Tel Aviv, such as applications for identity documents and family status certificates, were cancelled until June 27.
On June 13, Israel launched major airstrikes on different areas in Iran, including nuclear and military sites, killing senior commanders, nuclear scientists and civilians. Iran responded by launching several waves of missile and drone attacks on Israel, inflicting casualties and heavy damage.
On Saturday, the U.S. Air Force struck three key Iranian nuclear sites. In retaliation, Iran fired missiles at the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar on Monday. The 12-day conflict ended with a ceasefire between Iran and Israel on Tuesday. Enditem
