China to Send at Least Two Astronauts

Scholars from the Chinese Academy of Sciences say China will send at least two astronauts into outer space in the next year. They will stay in space for at least one week.

The astronauts will stay in space for at least one week, in their spaceship, which will have two parts, a re-entry module and an orbital module.

The astronauts will move from one module to another, an activity seen as a breakthrough for this manned space mission.

They will also conduct various types of experiments in the orbital module.

A Long March II F carrier rocket will still be used to launch the capsule and the design of the Shenzhou VI will basically remain the same as that of the Shenzhou V.
