Shanghai International Studies University

Founded in 1949 as the Shanghai Russian College, Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) is a key university nationwide with good reputation in China and abroad. SISU offers majors in literature, education, economics, management and law. The university offer 24 language majors, including English, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Arabic and Japanese, and 12 non-language majors, including international economy and trade, finance, law, international politics and journalism. In addition to bachelor and postgraduate programs, SISU offers programs for continued education, online education and programs for international students. SISU now has a full-time enrollment of 7,070 undergraduates, 1,533 postgraduates, 1,357 international students and 25,000 other types of registered students in various programs. The number of professors and teachers of SISU totals 644.
