According to the 2011 list of China's Most Influential Businesswomen, Sun Yafang, chairwoman of Huawei, tops the annual list, followed by Gree President Dong Mingzhu in second place and Haier president Yang Mianmian in third.

There are eight new faces on this year's list, including 'iron lady' Xie Qihua, Chrysler China president Zheng Jie, Great Wall Motor CEO Wang Fengying, and Huabao International Holdings chairwoman Chu Lam Yiu. Read on to find out more about some of China's most powerful women.

After graduating from of Xiamen University's economics department, Wang Xianrong started working at Xiamen C&D Corporation Limited in 1984. She was promoted from accountant to manager of the finance department, before being appointed assistant to the deputy general manager, general manager, and finally chairwoman of the company in April 2007.

In 2011, Xiamen C&D Corporation Ltd. ranked 119th on the 2011 Top 500 Chinese Companies list, rising 28 spots from last year's ranking. The company also placed 43rd among the Top 500 Chinese Service Companies, up 10 spots from last year. By the first half of the year, the company achieved revenue of 38.1 billion yuan (US$5.99 billion), up 29.7 percent year-on-year. In addition, it recorded a net profit of 1.21 billion yuan (US$190.45 million), up by 53.5 percent year-on-year.
